Adam graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2003 where he gained a BA (Music) and the prestigious PPRNCM (professional performance) as part of the Lowry Brass Quintet. Following graduation he spent several years working as a freelance trombonist and has performed with such groups as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Halle Orchestras, brass bands such as Black Dyke, Brighouse and Rastrick and Grimethorpe and was a founder member of both the Lowry Brass Quintet and the New Art Ensemble.
In 2007 Adam joined B&H Sound Services as an assistant recording engineer and quickly rose through the ranks to the position of senior recording engineer. He is now a highly sought after producer and engineer, bringing a sound musical background with a real passion for recording. In his career so far Adam has made recordings with top level brass bands such as Cory, Foden’s, Grimethorpe, The International Staff Band and the New York Staff Band as well as international brass soloists such as Jens Lindemann, Les Neish, Philip Cobb and Ian Bousfield. He has also recorded several CDs with the King’s Singers and works closely with the Salvation Army’s International Staff Songsters.
A fourth generation Salvationist, Adam attends Kettering Citadel corps and is proud to work as part of SATCoL assisting in the ministry of many Salvation Army groups.
